Family Time in the Gorge!

We had a fun opportunity to go up to visit family in Troutdale (near Portland) to hear our cousin Emily give her farewell talk and spend some time in the Gorge along with Chris & Sara's Family. Here are some highlights of that trip!

From Multnomah Falls:

We stopped by some of the other waterfalls along the Gorge (sorry, I don't remember the ones we stopped at)

We spent some good times at Crown Point, where you can see for forever up river and down:

We had lots of fun going out and about with our tour guides, Emily & Lauren followed up by yummy yummy food from Aunt Ronda! It was a really fun day!

Hi Jon & Meghan & Paisley

Our good friends, Jon & Meghan stopped by for a couple of days to play with Maeby! We went out to the beach and had so much fun roasting hot dogs and smores for lunch on Beverly Beach.....


Getting Jon used to holding a baby (oh just wait Jon, just wait!).......


Playing with random dogs (a new favorite hobby of Maeby's).......



And visiting an awesome lighthouse!

We had lots of fun with Jon & Meghan, battling stupid pizza places, playing with kitties (although Aravis & Beely never really met Paisley - probably a good thing) and getting Jon ready for taking care of a wee one.....Maeby was kind enough not to have any poopy diapers until just after they left - seriously, they were probably still in Corvallis. We were tempted to try and make them come back for Jon to change her ;)

Fun Times with Cousin Emily!

This is Jeremy's cousin, Emily. She came down from Portland to help us out last week while Jeremy and I both had to work and we had lots of fun!

Maeby was very sad to have to take Emily home, but we had a great week with her! We couldn't have made it through that week without her! Thanks again, Emily!!!!

SWIMMING!!!!

After some delays in the pool in our complex opening, we were finally able to go swimming as a family. Oh what fun we all had - Maeby is a natural!



I think I can say, without offense, she definately gets her water smarts from my side of the family :)

She is just so happy to be in the water - that and she LOVES her Papa!

Maeby just seems so at home in the water - she often wants to push away and try to swim on her own. We love taking her swimming with us at our pool in our complex or the pool where I work as a swim instructor; she just loves water water everywhere - the beach, the pool, the bath - you name it! She really must be a froggy at heart!
