Best Buds!

These two are so in love with each other - it's sweet. Georgie lights up when she sees or hears her sister and Maeby loves to give her kisses and talks so sweetly to her and sings to her. I couldn't ask for better!

I hope this love and friendship lasts for always.

Wii Fit

Maeby discovered Wii Fit and she is in love. Its so funny to watch her play and try to figure things out.

She says "ow!" anytime she gets a shoe instead of a soccer ball

She loves the skiing one - but gets annoyed that she can't actually play in the snow

We've kind of stopped letting her do the tightrope walking since she just makes her person fall off - she thinks its hilarious

Georgie's 1st REAL Food!

We've started Georige on rice cereal. She likes the idea of food although I'm not sure how much she actually ate.

Maeby got to help but she wasn't too sure it was actually OK to put something in Georgie's mouth.

Rescue Mae Mae

Meet Rescue Mae Mae!

She flies, she runs really fast, she leaps tall buildings (and couches) she has special magical powers that make things explode! She beats the bad guys and rescues the baby penguins! She can also turn into a dragon and roar really loud!

Maeby is her "mild" mannered alter-ego

Lake Jackson Ward Christmas Party 2011

The girls and I went to our church's Christmas party. It was supposed to be themed in which everyone dressed up in "Biblical attire" and we sat on blankets, watched a Christmas play and there were tents with food etc.

I dressed up, and I dressed Georgie to match me (kind of) but Maeby was not having the sheets for her costume. She insisted on being Rapunzel.

Maeby learned all about how to play Angry Birds from her friend Anders

Playing on the stairs with the boys, Nathan & Anders - they jumped down the stairs repeatedly for over a half hour.

Our ward has a jazz band and they played. Maeby LOVED it. She danced and danced and danced and danced....

Georgie had a lot of fun too, although she mostly hung out and giggled at everything.

Sing'n In the Rain!

So we have been blessed with some rain lately which has been awesome because when it rains here is REALLY rains and we get some awesome puddles.

One night we were out puddle jumping (a favorite activity of ours) and decided to check out the pool. Since is felt pretty warm (at least compared to the puddles we were splashing in) we decided to play in the water.

We woke up one morning to a down pour and HUGE Thunderstorm. Maeby dashed out to check it out. It'd only been raining for like 15 minutes but the water was up to her ankles.

She ran back inside as soon as there was a huge strike of lightning and thunder that was right next to our house. We love watching the storms and playing in the rain. The best part is that its like 75 degrees outside and so we don't freeze when we go play - just get really wet!

Thanksgiving 2011

This year we had a very low key Thanksgiving. We had some friends who live in Houston come down and play and eat with us.

Maeby decided she needed to sport her pioneer bonnet!

It was really nice to have a low key, fun day watching movies, having the kids play and eating lots of yummy food. Georgie tried some mashed potatoes and some yams - she likes the potatoes the yams she wasn't so sure about. :)

After all was said and done we crashed hard but it was worth it!

Tickle Torture!

Couple Videos of Maeby

I realize these are both of Maeby dancing and in fact almost all of our videos are of her dancing. That girl just likes to shake it!

Videos of Georgie

Georgie is really starting to find her voice and talk and giggle and squeal. Here are a couple videos.

Christmas Festival Lake Jackson 2011

Last weekend was Lake Jackson's Festival of Lights which is the big kick off to all of the Christmas events in the area. Its a really fun free family event that had LOTS to do.

There were probably about a dozen different Bouncy Play things:

There were booths with animal adoptions and the Wildlife refuge people there with various reptiles for people to see and touch.

Maeby's favorite was the bungee jumping. I was really proud of her being very patient waiting in line for what seemed to me like an eternity. She had a blast!

The highlight was the fake "snow" which was really just a bunch of shaved ice. But the kids could play in it and go sledding down their hill.

NOTE: we are not horrible parents - it was 85 degrees out which is why Maeby is in a t-shirt

We were all too exhausted to stick around for the light parade and Christmas tree lighting etc. but we can drive around town to see them each night if we want. It was a good time :)

Sea Center Again

Last week we went to the Sea Center here in Lake Jackson. We randomly ran into a friend from church so Maeby had even more fun playing with him.

If you look where the rushes have been bent - alligators did that. We didn't see any alligators there that day though (which is JUST FINE!)
