Snitching!

Jeremy and Maeby made Chocolate Cherry cookies and I caught Georgie trying to snitch one!

Nice to know she's figured out how to climb the step stool!

BEACH PARTY!

Last week two of our good friends here in Lake Jackson had birthdays and we celebrated with a surprise party at Surfside Beach!

The weather was perfect - warm but not too hot, slight breeze and some clouds.  Good friends, good food -both girls tried carrot cake for the first time - and lots of fun and giggles!

Last week we went to the special Titanic exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science  it was awesome. We were each given a ticket upon entry with the name of someone who was actually on the ship. We were "taken through" all of the different classes and the engine room etc. seeing artifacts from each as we went.  We also got to touch ice that was as cold as the water the passengers jumped into.  It was a remarkable experience that was truly awe inspiring.  At the end there is a list of names of the 700 some odd passengers and crewmen that survived.  All of ours survived, which is good because I think it would have killed Maeby to have one of our people die.  It really made an impact on all of us and I'm so glad we got to share this experience with our girls.  Unfortunately, they did not allow pictures so we don't have any.

BUT! We also discovered a new permanent exhibit in the museum we'd never been to before which is all about the history of the people in the Americas.  It was so awesome.

We also have to stop down and see the mummy and weather exhibit every time!  I think the girls like seeing themselves on TV.

It was such a nice day and we were feeling pretty good so we headed across the street to the zoo and got there in time to watch several feedings including Parana, fish, elephants and other animals. It was one of the best adventures to the zoo we've been on.

We also found more bears that we'd never seen before.  Two huge Grizzlies that were napping.

It was a very special day. Not only did we get to see items from the Titanic but we also discovered new things at the two places we visit the most in Houston.  It was great to find surprises we can continue to go back and explore more.

Sleepy Baby

They're always so cute when they sleep, but now she insists she much cuddle her panda at all times.
Sorry Knuffle Bunny, there's a new bear in town.

HMNS with the Gals

Spent an afternoon last week with the girls at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Usually we go straight to the hall of paleontology but we focused this trip on a really cool science demonstration and other parts of the museum.
