Pet Day @ OSU

A few weeks ago OSU hosted their annual Pet Day. Its a day where organizations and people from around the area bring a variety of domesticated animals and talk about care, adoption, you name it. There are animals of all kinds from farm animals, to dogs to snakes etc. The goal is to educate people on how to care for animals that rely on humans for their survival etc etc. For us, it was just a lot of fun to walk around and see and play with all kinds of animals - like a free zoo day.

Easter 2011

I know this post is out of order, but oh well.

We had several small, spread out Easter events. Starting with the Easter party at the Indoor Park we go to. She had TONS of fun with her friends Abby & Lilly.

Easter morning was low key. She was very excited to see her basket - which she believes came from the fairies.

Sporting her Easter digs for Church.

She ended up crashing after church and Jeremy and I ended up having a quiet Easter dinner just the two of us while she slept on the couch.

Recent Swimming Pictures

I just thought I'd post a few quick recent pictures of Maeby swimming.

We have a fairly new instructor named Halley who teaches with me on fridays and Maeby adores here - she is who you see with her in the pictures.

Maeby and her friend, Lilly. Two peas in a pod and almost twins. They are best known at the pool for running a muck in the lobby while eating their after swimming snacks on fridays.

Halley and I are starting to teach Maeby how to dive for things off the bottom of the pool. Maeby will do whatever Halley asks - she has Maeby taking side breaths now and everything. Its amazing.

On the Right is my boss Rhonda with Maeby and Halley using Maeby as a demonstrator.

Maeby is such an amazing swimmer. She can go about 10 feet totally unassisted. We're working on breathing and endurance. Her favorite thing to do are fishy dives (sitting dives). She swims mostly with a swim vest on which helps her stay in a swimming (horizontal) position but is NOT a life jacket. I'll try to get some more video of her swimming on her own soon.

TULIPS!

For our anniversary this year we went up to the Tulips in Wilsonville, Oregon. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun running around, "smelling" the tulips and keeping up with a yearly family tradition.

(This one is especially for her Grandpa Eskelsen)

We, of course, took a ton more pictures - you can view them here.
