Family Ties

Over the first weekend of May (our 5th Anniversary) we made a special appearance at my family's Family Reunion. It was sort of formed between my niece, Sarah, getting baptized into our church, our anniversary, and two of my brother and sister coming home from missions for our church to Kiev, Ukraine and Pocatello, Idaho (respectively).

Here are some....highlights....from that trip:

Family Portrait at Kayak Point State Park (yes, we are intentionally matching)

Maeby with her Nana & Grandpa Eskelsen

My Parents with all of their grandmunchkins:

We visited the famed tulip fields in Mount Vernon, Washington - this was a first for both Maeby and Jeremy.

It's a thing with my family to have pictures of everyone "smelling" the tulips - my dad forced all of us as kids to do this as well....(tulips don't have a scent).

Family photo in the fields.

Maeby with Nana & Grandpa again.

Discovering the inner workings of a tulip up close and personal (yes...she later ate it - the photos are on flickr)
Having fun together in the fields....good times :)

Getting very tired from walking (I don't know why she'd be the one complaining) and discovering inch by inch another tulip.

We ended on a high note by attending a Mariner's Game. While we didn't win, it was a blast - especially listening to some of Maeby's older cousins shout various.....chants, insults....etc to the players (My favorite is from Ilse (pictured below in the white sweater behind my mom) "Get a homerun or you will die" - too bad her older brother convinced her that was inappropriateand not at all motivational *sigh*)

My mom & Maebs watching the game, Aunt Emily behind Nana:

Maeby sporting her awesome Mariner's onesie - it truly is one of my favorite shirts she owns. (Her Aunt Amy in the top right just got home from Idaho)

Oh the gang - this was not only Maeby's 1st baseball game, but Jeremy's as well
Behind us is Ilse, Jon, Emiliy with Tommy on her lap, David (just home from the Ukraine) and Dave's friends - Zach & Bruce.

Grandpa and Maeby - he eventually got her to sleep for the last few innings (even through almost all of the 10th (it went into overtime))

Maeby chill'n with her Aunt Amy!

While it seems as though it'll probably be a VERY long time before we have another reunion (if ever) Maeby enjoyed herself immensely. She loved the attention :) Here's hoping she can see them all again soon!!!!
